The Annual Global Development Awards and Medals Competition - 2008

The Global Development Network is now accepting submissions of proposals/papers and development projects for its annual competition on development research.

In this critical time for the world's natural resources, the mission of GDN has never been more important. To bring greater focus to environmental issues the world over, the competition theme this year is on Natural Resource Management and Development.

* Do you have an interesting research proposal/paper on Natural Resource Management (NRM)?
* Do you have an exciting idea for research on NRM?
* Are you looking for funding to expand your on-going innovative development project that has benefited the local community, then this is the competition for you to apply?

Prizes

The finalists win cash prizes and a round-trip air fare with accomodation expenses to travel to a our forthcoming annual Global Development Conference. There, they have the opportunity to present their proposals/papers and development project before an eminent jury for the final round. This year, the final selection will be held in 2009 in Kuwait city, Kuwait

September 12, 2008 for the Most Innovative Development Project (MIDP)
September 26, 2008 for Outstadning Awards and Medals that include research proposals/papers.
The competition is open to researchers only from developing & transition countries.
